What is the ASI Remote Program?
This is an exciting new distance learning program designed to enhance athletic and academic development. The ASI program allows for student-athletes to develop in their sport while learning the qualities to be a good leader with strong character. By aligning positive role models with ASI students we look forward to keeping them accountable and encouraging them to make strides toward their goals and dreams. The 20-week program will feature 4 key modules:

  • Leadership Development
  • Goalie Homework
  • Passion Project
  • Reading Program

Leadership Development –
Emphasis will be on improving the character of the student through weekly videos, activities, quotes, and exercises.

Goalie Homework –
This section will be broken down into 3 categories – Goalie Specific Skating, The Goalie Save Process, Off ice/mobility. Each category will have weekly videos displaying exercises, on ice skating skills and save techniques that students can do at home and at their minor hockey practices. On ice drills can be sent to coaches to help goalies get the most out of their practices.

Passion Project –
Will allow the student to create a business or encourage them to become involved in a community involvement project. This will be outlined in a step by step process.

Reading Program –
The reading program will feature 1 book per semester (10 weeks). Along with the book, they will also be provided with questions that promote further learning.
